The Ultimate Guide to 4th of July Events in Dallas

Summer has arrived, it’s hotter than the devil’s backyard 🔥 and with 4th of July right around the corner, I can already smell the burgers and BBQ on the grill. Every summer I fall in love with Texas all over again and of course my home town, Dallas, is easily one of my favorite cities for so many reasons - pop up shops 👛, weekends at the lake 🌊 , hopping around the city during the breezy summer nights + most of all the 4th of July celebrations. 💕

In addition to the events on our Calendar page, here are some fun and exciting events around town (some of which are family friendly) that will allow you to take advantage of all the city has to offer this coming week! ☀️

Addison

On the 3rd, the City of Addison will host it's annual Kaboom Town! kicking off the fun and celebration at 4pm at Addison Circle Park. The free event includes food vendors, children’s activities, air show, live music and more. It gets PACKED so you want to be sure to get there early to get good parking and reserve a spot!

Bitter Sisters Brewery will also be hosting a Kaboom Town! Watch Party from 4-11pm if you want to still enjoy the fun without the super large crowd. The free kid-friendly event includes craft beer, balloon animals, face painting and food trucks.

Arlington

The City of Arlington will host it's annual event, Light Up Arlington! at 6pm in downtown Arlington on Tuesday, July 3rd featuring train rides, food trucks, face painting, pony rides, live music and more.. Fireworks will start at 9:45 and will be synchronized to 95.9 "The Ranch".

On the 4th, the City will host it's annual 4th of July Parade kicking off at 9 a.m. at the intersection of Mitchell and West streets running to UTA's College Park District.

Dallas

On Saturday June 30th, Noble Rey Brewing Co. will host its Red, White and Brew party from 12p.m.-9 p.m. with a food trucks, water balloon fights, free henna tattoos, a hot dog eating contest and live music! Tickets are $40 and each ticket holder of drinking age receives three pints of beer and a Noble Rey 32-ounce growler with a coupon for a free fill.

Celebrate Independence Day June 30th, July 1st & 4th at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden’s Red, White and Blues from 11am-2pm. With live music and $2 hot dogs and root-beer floats this family friendly event will be one for the books! Tickets are $15 and available at dallasarboretum.org

Frisco

Frisco's Freedom Fest begins at 4 p.m. on the 4th inside Simpson Plaza at City Hall and will include live entertainment, a Hometown Hero exhibit, a children's expo, fireworks and more. Entry is free but some activities will require cash/card.

Grand Prairie

Get your cowboy boots, your 4th of July crew and head out to the annual Lone Stars & Stripes Celebration hosted by the City of Grand Prairie on July 3rd & 4th! Gates open at 3, first race starts at 5 and festivities will include: a family fun park, giveaways, live music by Vegas Stars and fireworks. Admission free with Military ID, civilians $3-$8/ticket!

Rowlett

The City of Rowlett will be hosting Fireworks on Main an event that is open to the community and will include Outdoor Laser Tag, games for all ages, food from a variety of vendors that will be sure to please your palette! Taking place on Main St in Downtown Rowlett parking will be available at the DART station and the high school.
